Lebanese diva Fairouz has returned to the scenes after a year's absence and held a grand performance attended by thousands of anxious fans. The event was held Friday in the city of Juwaynah in Lebanon and was the first live concert by Fairouz since her last one in 2010. According to the internet website MBC.net, Faiouz is scheduled to hold four more concerts in the same location the last of which will be on Dec. 17. Fairouz's daughter, Rima Al Rahbani, stated that the details of the concert are kept confidential as is the case with all her past performances. She added that no one associated with the concerts is permitted to reveal any information regarding the songs to be sung or the members of the orchestra. Rima stressed that all cellular phones and cameras are prohibited during the concerts and tickets for the event are sold at Virgin Mega Stores and over the internet. Ticket prices range between 40 and 300 US dollars. It is said that all tickets priced 40, 60 and 90 dollars are sold out as is the case with first class tickets that cost $300.
