AWAIQEELA — The committee organizing the Falcon Festival in Turaif is urging local businesses to sponsor the event. The festival will pit the country's falconers against each other in a battle to decide whose falcon is the best. The festival is scheduled for Jan. 27 and the organizing committee is busy writing letters to business owners to sponsor the event. “The committee has allocated a total amount of SR200,000 as cash prizes for the winners. The prizes have been divided into four categories. The first category prize is SR69,500, the second SR 49,500, the third is SR45,500 and the fourth is SR 35,500.” The festival is expected to attract many visitors as it coincides with the beginning of school holidays. __
