Friendster prevailed over Solid North 65-61 to claim the best of three championship of the 38 & above Inter-Commercial division of the Titan-JBL Basektball Championship at the Bin Mahfouz court here. Solid North came near snatching victory. But made a crucial miss. Barry Nader displayed his shooting skills and scored 19 points for Friendster. He was adjudged as the Titan best player of the game. Pablo Viscayno topscored with 12 points. JDC White beat JDC Yellow 60-54. White showed its offensive skills in the final quarter. Yellow suffered back to back errors at a crucial stage of the game. Jameel Islam missed his short jumpers and White's defensive wall proved unbreakable. Jaber dominated the shaded area and scored 24 points for White and was adjudged as the Giordano best player of the game. Mohammed and Jameel Islam were the top scorers with 16 and 13 respectively for Yellow. Al-Mustaqbal Hospital defeated NCB Auto Lease 72-60. NCB tried hard to stop Al-Mustaqbal ball-handler Errol Diola. But Al-Mustaqbal Hospital showed good teamwork in the whole game and broke the NCB defense in the final quarter. Al-Mustaqbal Hospital will play the best of three championship in the Inter-Company division against Hanco Maintenance. Bertolano topscored with 22 points and was adjudged as the Al-Haddaf best player of the game. Geniza led NCB Auti lease with 23 points. JBL is gearing up for the next championship.
