An international renal care provider opened a new dialysis clinic here, Tuesday to provide a holistic approach in the treatment and care of more than 200 initially identified kidney patients in the Eastern Province. Diaverum, one of the world´s largest independent renal care providers, has signed a joint venture agreement with Nazer Group, a Saudi Arabian Holding Company with major investments in the medical sector, including Bupa Arabia, to operate the modern dialysis clinic. “Our goal is to provide first-class dialysis care with the highest safety standards for citizens afflicted with renal ailments,” said Loay Nazer, Chairman of Nazer Group. He said the dialysis clinic will be managed by specialists and trained nurses. Munich-based Diaverum, with more than 6,500 employees, has been at the forefront of the renal service market, offering renal replacement and treatments as well as preventive and early stage renal care for over19,000 patients in 16 countries in Europe, Latin America, Middle East and Australia. Nazer said the opening of the Dammam clinic will hopefully support patients from the Eastern Province. “Our plan is to improve the quality of life for every citizen suffering from renal diseases, and hopefully we will open more clinics in key cities in the Kingdom,” Nazer told the Saudi Gazette. Nazer said the basic objective of the renal clinic is to improve the quality of life for Saudi patients by focusing on both the physical and the emotional aspects of kidney disease with topics such as prevention, enhanced quality of life, and efficiency of treatment. __
