Showing great determination and courage, she had dropped the small children from the second floor to rescuers on the ground floor. She then jumped to save herself, but fell and suffered a fatal head injury. She died before paramedics arrived. Reem's uncle, Ali Muhammad Al-Arishi, told Okaz/Saudi Gazette that the entire family will miss her. “Reem was very polite and we all loved her. On Friday night she insisted on sitting up late to talk to her brother and father, even though her father wanted her to sleep early because she was working the following day. She loved to stay up to talk with her father.” Al-Arishi said that Reem had told her brother on Friday that she wanted a room for herself. She lived in a small apartment with her family and her physically-challenged brother. She supported five siblings and her father, who has heart problems. She was the sole breadwinner of the family. She was preoccupied with providing a decent life for her family and to pay the rent of their apartment. She was responsible for her family after her mother died last Ramadan. __
