The Specialized Punitive Court has resumed its case against seven suspects charged with forming a terrorist cell. The men are charged with conspiring to carry out acts of corruption to further the goals and plots of Al-Qaeda. They are also alleged to have been ready to carry out terrorist acts inside the country and to have coordinated with foreign terrorists to supply them with men and weapons. In the sixth session of the case, the Prosecutor General outlined more charges against them. He said: “The first and third suspect met to plan operations and set up a camp for weapons training and bomb making in order to carry out acts of corruption and disobey the ruler.” The court session was also attended by the sixth suspect and the lawyer of the first, third, fourth and fifth suspect. However the lawyer said he had no intention of replying to the accusations against his clients saying “he wants to cease representing them in the court.”
