The Disabled Children's Association is setting up a SR56 million charity endowment in Makkah named after late Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz. The endowment is to show appreciation for Prince Sultan's support for the disabled children over the past three decades, Prince Sultan Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Chairman of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) and Chairman of the Disabled Children's Association, said here Sunday. The endowment will be a 12-story hotel building. The revenue from the hotel will pay for services for more than 3,000 children every year. The hotel will be constructed on a 3,200 sq.meter area and will have 200 rooms, in addition to a mall, parking lots on two floors and a top-class restaurant. Meanwhile, Prince Khaled Bin Sultan, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs, said the Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz Foundation will continue following in the footsteps of the late Crown Prince by supporting the needy in Saudi society Prince Khaled's comments came during a meeting of the organization's Board of Trustees Saturday. In another development, Prince Sultan attended the signing of an agreement on Saturday between the SCTA and an Italian/French team which will dig for relics at the ancient Dawmat Al-Jandal site in Al-Jouf region. Prince Sultan said the SCTA is working on finding more antiquities and building more museums. A total of 20 archeological teams from Germany, France and Italy will soon be digging at sites around the country, he added.
