Saudi Arabia an example of stability
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 30 - 10 - 2011

One of the major characteristics of stability, for which the Kingdom is distinguished, is the policy of smooth succession and the mechanism of the building of the state in the House of Bin Saud.
King Abdullah's selection of his brother Prince Naif as Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior and the Chairman and members of the Allegiance Commission pledging allegiance to the new Crown Prince set a unique example of the smooth undertaking of important state decisions.
This example, which has little or no precedence in this chaotic world, reflects the farsightedness and wisdom of the Saudi leaders. Prince Naif was not selected for this position haphazardly or impulsively. He is a veteran minister of interior who has served his country in several positions and has proved himself to be one of the most capable and efficient interior ministers in modern history.
Prince Naif is an example of the stability of the Kingdom. He is known worldwide for his strong stand against terrorism in all its shapes and forms. He has won the battle against the fundamentalists and extremists who were fighting with no purpose but to undermine the stability of the Land of Revelation. He has fought for the stability and peace of his beloved country and people and has never bowed down before the storm.
The selection of Prince Naif as the Kingdom's seventh Crown Prince furnishes conclusive evidence of the deep-rooted relationship and coherence between the people and the leadership of the country. It is an exceptional relationship which sets a unique example in the literature and philosophy of political systems. This relationship is embodied in the open-door policy which was established by the founder of the Kingdom and pursued by his successors. It is an indication that our country is going in the right direction, protected by Almighty Allah and the wisdom of the leadership. Thus the Kingdom enjoys stability and its people are able to live in peace and prosperity.
