Adha holiday for the private sector is for a minimum four days starting from the day pilgrims stand on Arafat, said Hattab Bin Saleh Al-Enezi, Director of Public Relations and spokesman of the Ministry of Labor. He said Article 112 of the Labor Law stipulates that the Eid Al-Adha holiday is four days. The ministry's Executive Law emphasizes that the four days are the minimum number of days of the holiday and cannot be reduced further. Business owners and employers are allowed to increase the number of days off for their employees. In terms of Article 114, workers in the private sector have the right to get a paid holiday for 10 days minimum and 15 days maximum, including the Eid Al-Adha holiday, to enable them to perform Haj once during their service period. Only those workers who have completed at least two years' service will be allowed this holiday. Employers can determine the number of employees who qualify every year based on the needs of their companies.
