Jeddah Dawah Center Islam is a precious gift from Allah to His Creations that enlightens them in the dark. It's a monotheistic and complete religion based on the Holy Qur'an and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Allah has completed His Deen as stated in the Noble Qur'an: “This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion”. (5:3) Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “O mankind, I am leaving two things with you, if you cling to them you will never go astray. The Book of Allah and my way of life.” (Al-Haakim). For a Muslim who doesn't want to go astray, it is necessary to refer to the Holy Qur'an and Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) for all the matters. Allah says in the Holy Qur'an: “O you who believe! Obey Allah and the Messenger and those of you (Muslims) who are in authority. (And) if you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allah and His Messenger (peace be upon him), if you believe in Allah and in the Last Day. That is better and more suitable for final determination.” (4:59) Famous Islamic scholars urge adherence to Islamic sources rather than making divisions in Islam and following them blindly, and none of them have asked to establish a sect in their names. Sheikh Ibn Taymiyyah said, “Indeed the people of truth and the Sunnah do not follow anyone [unconditionally] except the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), the one who does not speak from his desires - it is only revelation revealed to him.” (Majmoo'ah al-Fataawaa) Imam Abu Haneefah (may Allah bless him) said: “Adhere to the athar (narration) and the tareeqah (way) of the Salaf (pious predecessors) and beware of newly invented matters for all of it is innovation” (As-Suyootee in Sawn al Mantaq wal-Kalaam) He also said in a famous statement, “When a Hadith is found to be saheeh, then that is my madhab (religion).” And “It is haram (prohibited) for someone who does not know my evidence to give fatwaa (verdicts) on the basis of my words.” Another narration adds, “... for we are mortals; we say some thing one day, and take it back the next day.” And “When I say something contradicting the Book of Allah the Exalted or what is narrated from the Messenger, then ignore my saying.” Imam Maalik ibn Anas (May Allah bless him) said: “Truly I am only a mortal. I make mistakes (sometimes) and I am correct (sometimes). Therefore, look into my opinions; all that agrees with the Book and the Sunnah, accept it; and all that does not agree with the Book and the Sunnah, ignore it.” (Ibn ‘Abdul Barr in Jaami' Bayaan al-'Ilm) Imam Shaafi'i (May Allah bless him) said: “The Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) reach, as well as escape from, every one of us. So whenever I voice my opinion, or formulate a principle, where something contrary to my view exists on the authority of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), then the correct view is what the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) has said, and it is my view.” (Haakim) Ahmad ibn Hanbal (May Allah bless him) said: “Do not follow my opinion; neither follow the opinion of Maalik, nor Shaafi'i, nor Awzaa'i, nor Thawri, but take from where they took.” [Ibn al-Qayyim in I'laam] “Do not copy your Deen (religion) from anyone of these, but whatever comes from the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his companions, take it; next are their successors, where a man has a choice.”(i.e. to accept it or reject it). “Whoever rejects a statement of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) is on the brink of destruction.” (Ibn al-Jawzi) Therefore, the path that can lead a Muslim to paradise is the same as the one that was taken by Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his companions. Whoever follows this path shall be successful and whoever deviates from it shall be doomed. “Indeed in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example to follow” (Qur'an, Surah Al Ahzaab, Verse 21). __
