Sudais, Imam of the Grand Mosque, Professor of Shariah Higher Studies at Umm Al-Qura University and General Supervisor of the Dawah Center at Al-Awali District here, has hailed the setting up of the King Abdullah Chair for the Holy Qur'an in three universities. The establishment of the King Abdullah Chair for the Holy Qur'an at Imam Muhammad Bin Saud Islamic University in Riyadh, Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah and the Islamic University in Madina shows the Monarch's great concern and care for the Holy Qur'an,” Sheikh Al-Sudais said. The chair will undertake and finance research on the holy book in the Kingdom and abroad and explain its miracles and blessings. “The Holy Qur'an is the constitution of the Kingdom wherein generations have competed to memorize this great book and participate in international, regional and local Holy Qur'an contests,” Sheikh Dr. Al-Sudais said. “These three chairs come at a critical juncture when misconceptions have become rampant and desires have controlled the minds of Muslims,” Sheikh Dr. Al-Sudais said. “The only way out for all Muslims is to turn to the Holy Qur'an and learn endless lessons from the Book of Allah,” he said.
