Julia Roberts says it is has become more difficult to make a “small film”. The actress appears in Fireflies in the Garden alongside Ryan Reynolds and Hayden Panettiere. Despite the star-studded cast, the independent movie”s release in the US has been delayed by three years. Julia was happy to finally attend the premiere in Hollywood on Wednesday night, revealing it was worth the wait. “A moment like this takes patience and effort,” Roberts told ET. “Making a small film is harder than it used to be.” Fireflies in the Garden opened in countries around Europe in 2008, but the US release date was postponed after the production company closed. Hayden was also thrilled to be reunited with her co-stars. She revealed it was “wild” to see castmates including Julia after such a long time. “We went to the Berlin Film festival [in 2008] with it and walked the red carpet there, and the fact that we”re here now celebrating its opening is really cool,”she beamed. “It”s a walk through the past.” Fireflies in the Garden follows a son dealing with the tragic death of their mother and is played out in flashbacks throughout his life.
