The Control and Investigation Board (CIB) in Madina launched Thursday an investigation into allegations that the Hai'a — the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice — assaulted a woman here recently. The CIB has already listened to the testimony of the Madina woman and members of the Hai'a. Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Majed, Emir of Madina region, had referred the case to the CIB. The accused Hai'a members have been suspended until the investigations are completed. Lawyer Salem Bin Atiya said that he is defending the woman free of charge and will pursue it until she receives justice.
