The Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz Chair for Pilgrims' Housing will soon conduct research into suitable and cost-effective housing for Haj and Umrah pilgrims, said Dr. Bakri Bin Ma'toug Assas, President of Umm Al-Qura University. Experts from local universities and institutions abroad will be brought in to carry out the studies, which will focus on Makkah and Madina, said Dr. Assas. He said it was an honor for Umm Al-Qura University to administer the Chair, which is named after the Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior. He said Prince Naif is known for his commitment to ensuring that world-class services are provided for Haj and Umrah pilgrims. Dr. Assas said researchers will have to take into account the ever-changing financial and cultural needs of pilgrims traveling from abroad. He said that housing would have to be modernized and ensure tranquility for pilgrims.
