Maria Martinez Sanchez won the Hansol Korea Open on Sunday, defeating Galina Voskoboeva in the final in straight sets, 7-6 (0), 7-6 (2). The Spaniard, who was sixth-seeded for the tournament on Seoul's Olympic Park hard courts, showed her experience in both tie-breaks, allowing her opponent from Kazakhstan just two points. The first set saw just one break of serve each but Martinez Sanchez took control of the tie-break, winning it to love. Voskoboeva, in her first WTA Single's final, responded strongly, taking a 3-1 lead in the second set but was unable to hold on to her serve. Martinez Sanchez, ranked 36 in the world, took control of the second tie-break against an increasingly frustrated Voskoboeva, ranked 82nd, to win her fifth title and her second of 2011. Tsonga wins in Metz In France, French world No. 10 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga won his first title in two years Sunday when he defeated Croatia's Ivan Ljubicic 6-3, 6-7 (4-7), 6-3 in the Metz ATP final. Tsonga, a finalist at Rotterdam and Queen's this year, last took a tour trophy in Tokyo in 2009. Ljubicic, the world No. 29, was bidding to win his 11th title. His last triumph came in 2010, when he made a magical run at Indian Wells to claim his first Masters. Mayer bags Nastase Trophy Second-seeded Florian Mayer of Germany beat Spain's Pablo Andujar 6-3, 6-1 in the final of the Nastase Tiriac Trophy Sunday. In the semifinal, Andujar beat top-seeded Juan Ignacio Chela 6-4, 7-5 Saturday.
