Guinean winger Ibrahim Yattara's lone goal of the match helped Al-Shabab edge visitor Al-Qadisiya 1-0 in a Round Three encounter of the Zain Saudi Professional League at King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh Thursday. Substitute Yattara fired in the 65th minute from a free kick to hand his team the win. The visiting side started briskly and its defenders succeeded in keeping Shabab's star player Nassir Al-Shamrani at bay. Qadisiya looked determined to collect all three points from the match, however, the host was lucky that the rival team did not reach its goal. After the break, Shabab's Belgian coach Michel Preud'Homme brought in Yattara. The white-haired winger added much strength to Shabab. Yattara sent a perfect free kick from some 32 yards away that landed into the goal of Mansour Al-Naja'e, Qadisiya keeper. Qadisiya's Ghanaian midfielder William Tiero almost got one when he headed a ball from nearly three yards away, but Shabab goalkeeper, Waleed Abdullah denied him. Abdullah was again the man of the moment when he denied the visitor's Algerian striker Haj Boukash, whose header could have landed in Shabab goal. In another match, Al-Nasr Shared the spoils 1-1 against host Al-Faisali at Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Sports City Stadium in Al-Majma'ah City. Striker Mohammed Al-Sahlawi put Nasr in the lead after 19 minutes. However, Faisali striker Badr Al-Kharashi leveled the score in the 69th minute. At Al-Fateh Club Stadium in Al-Ahsa, Al-Fateh played a goalless match against visitor Al-Ra'id. Shabab sits atop the league standings with nine points, while Qadisiyah slipped down to the 7th spot with three points. Faisali is now fourth on four points, while Nasr fifth despite having the same number of points, but a 2-goal difference. Fateh, meanwhile, is 10th with two points, while Ra'id sits 12th with a single point. Friday's action will see Al-Ahli host Najran at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium, while Ta'awon will take on Hilal at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium. Hajr, meanwhile, will meet visitor Al-Ansar Prince Abdullah Bin Jalawi Sports City Stadium. __
