The center is contained in specially built truck that has a team of nurses. The mobile center visits hospital locations and large malls where these facilities could be easily accessible. “Everyday our mobile center performs free breast examination to at least 10 women, perform ultra-sound tests, and tells the patients on how to protect themselves against breast cancer,” the team leader of the mobile center said. In a month's time, the mobile mammography center has provided about a hundred examinations, she said. Suspect cases are referred to specialist hospitals. SCF has working agreement with specialist hospitals in the Eastern Province in the detection and treatment of breast cancer. The SCF is a corporate social responsibility (CSR) project of the Rawabi Holding, which is chaired by Sheikh Abdulaziz Ali Al-Turki. SCF provides support in enhancing the role of families in the detection and management of cancer. It also disseminates information about cancer via booklets, pamphlets and other media, and communicates with businessmen and members of the commercial and industrial chambers for their support. __
