The first international Saudi Conference on Information Technology is due to be held Saturday under the patronage of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. Several eminent international experts and researchers will attend the conference organized by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). The conference will deal with several topics including the challenges the industry faces in the Kingdom, the importance of supporting research to develop technology locally, and the importance of developing human resources. Sixteen international and local experts will discuss new ideas and the results of research in this field. The experts will pinpoint the local and future developments in this field as well. The main topics which will be discussed in the conference are: social networks, high performance computers, wireless networks and information security. __
