Dr. Adel Fakieh, Minister of Labor, will head the Kingdom's delegation to the five-day 19th World Congress on Safety and Health at Work to be held in Istanbul, Turkey starting Sunday. The congress will discuss comprehensive, proactive and preventative approaches to safety and health at work, systems approach for occupational safety and health, social dialogue, partnerships and innovation on occupational safety and health and new challenges in a changing world of work and the global economy. The objective of the congress is to ensure opportunities of exchange of new information on occupational health and safety as well as to give an idea about how the relations will be enhanced among governments, employers, non-governmental organizations, employer representatives, employees and their organizations and occupational health and safety professionals in order to eliminate occupational injuries and diseases in whole world. It is also expected that occupational health and safety practitioners will gain information on the practical ideas which could be immediately adapted and put into practice.
