A Saher employee was shot at by two unknown men here Sunday. Sultan Ibrahim, the Saher employee, alleged that he was attacked while on his way to his residence in Al-Aaer area after completing his evening shift. After driving a couple of kilometers from the workplace, Ibrahim said, he noticed two persons following his van. Ibrahim claims that as he stopped at one of the restaurants, the two men came out of their car and attacked him. “Soon, one of them went to their car and fetched a pistol and aimed at my head. To my good luck some people came out from the restaurant. When they saw the man aiming his pistol at me they run at him and stripped him of the gun even as he shot a fire which missed the target,” Ibrahim recounted. He said a passerby informed a security patrol using his mobile phone. “But the assailants managed to flee the scene before the arrival of the security personnel,” Ibrahim said. The Saher employee was smart enough to note down the number plate of the car which was later handed over to police officials. In his report, Ibrahim said he had no enmity with any person. Major Abdullah Bin Ali Aal Shathan, Abha police spokesman, said a team from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has been assigned to track down the assailants. The car number plate would be of great help, he said. __
