Sheraton, InterCon, Al-Bilad early winners

Sheraton, InterContinental and Al-Bilad Hotels emerged early winners in the 31st FBA Basketball Tournament at Sheraton Jeddah Hotel Sports Complex here.
In the second week of much exciting Inter-Hotel division games, Sheraton Jeddah Hotel won convincingly over Le Meridien Jeddah Hotel 87-60.
Top scorers for Sheraton were Fakhreddin (32 points), El-Baba (15) and Fernandez (13) while Gulare (18), Castillo (16) and Pacurid (12) did well for Le Meridien.
InterContinental Jeddah overpowered the Westin Jeddah Hotel 61-48.
Instrumental in InterCon victory were Al-Shehry (22), Aleta (14) and Cabil (12) while Pordan (21) and Lacea (12) were the key players for Westin.
In another thrilling match, Al-Bilad Hotel defeated Movenpick Jeddah Hotel 76-68.
Emerging top gunners for Al-Bilad were Reyes (26) and Apostol (11) while Mohammad Ali (16) and Basilio (12) stood out for the Movenpick.
In other matches under bona fide division, Al-Tamayuz team beat King Abdulaziz University Hospital (KAAUH) 75-70. Azkals-AlShaya over Hugayeth Timberwolves 77-66.
In the Open Non-Rated division, strong team of Al-Zafer Cargo surrendered to another strong team of Pantos Logistics 84-77.
FBA's 31st season tournament is being supported by Royal Business Club, Tony G's, Himalaya Herbals, Argo Navis-Water Purifier, Bison Energy Drink, Fruits in Ice Cream, KSA of Royal Brunei, Sky Freight Forwarders and Giordano.
