Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) said it has offered its new subscribers to "Connect Laptop" package a free internet access from 4 A.M. to 7 P.M. during Ramadan. The company said in a statement Friday that new subscribers can enjoy the offer once they subscribe after they visit the company's outlets that are located Kingdom-wide, while the current subscribers also can get same offer by paying SR20 for GB bundle and SR25 for the 2 GB. Earlier this year, Mobily slashed Internet prices after reducing the 2 GB bundle to SR60 and the 5 GB to SR100. The company, which prepares for the launch of LTE, has more than 2.3 million subscribers to Mobily's three high-volume mobile broadband bundles: the 1 gigabyte bundle, the 5 gigabyte bundle, and the unlimited bundle. Today, mobile broadband service, based on (HSPA/ HSPA+), is available in 93 percent of all populated areas of the Kingdom to any Mobily customer using a device that supports HSPA/HSPA+ technology, whether that be a USB modem or handset. Monthly traffic, upload and downloaded by customers, has grown in 2010 to reach more than 80 terabytes compared by 50 terabytes for December 2009. In 2008, the GSM World Association described Mobily as having the busiest mobile date network on the face of the planet.
