Saudi Credit Bureau (SIMAH) is the sole licensed national credit bureau offering consumer and commercial credit information services to respective members in Saudi Arabia. SIMAH operates under the supervision of Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA). What is SIMAH" ? Is it a government agency? SIMAH, stands for the Saudi Credit Bureau, pronounced Assa'ou'diya lil ma'lo'mat al'i'ti'ma'niya. It was established in 2002 and began operating in 2004 under Saudi laws, having Commercial Registration No: 10 017 1047 issued on 13/8/1422 corresponding to October 31, 2001. SIMAH is owned by Saudi banks and all banks operating in Saudi Arabia are members of SIMAH. Where from does SIMAH get its information? Based on membership agreements, SIMAH draws its information mainly from members and supplements it with publicly available information. SIMAH now has more than 85 members representing different sectors. The most prominent are banks, telecoms, finance, automobile & car rental, insurance and installment sectors. What are the components of a credit report ? Credit report is composed of the following: 1- Personal Information 2- Enquiries 3- Credit instruments details 4- Default records 5- Public notices 6- Address 7- Contact numbers 9- Occupation 10- Employer Who can access my credit report? Only SIMAH and its members can have access to a consumer's credit report. The purpose is SIMAH's information is restricted to the assessment of creditworthiness of the consumers. All authorized personnel (of both members and the Bureau) will have unique ID and passwords to identify themselves when they access the Bureau's database. All access to the Bureau's database are tracked and recorded for auditing. __
