A Saudi man here has been accused of blackmailing a girl after hacking into her computer and accessing her personal pictures and files. He met the girl in an Internet chat room. Investigations show that the man, a computer whiz, remotely accessed the girl's computer and turned on its built-in camera. He took several photos of her without her knowledge and later threatened to post them online if she did not entertain his desires. “Al-Jafr Police has completed investigations,” said Lt. Col. Ziyad Al-Ruqaiti, media adviser. “Once we received the report, an anti-cyber crime team started to track down the culprit and was able to arrest him in a short period after setting him up. We found photos of the girl and other girls on the culprit's computer.” Girls should be careful when they access chat rooms online, Al-Ruqaiti added. He called on parents to keep a watchful eye on their children. The police have referred the case to the Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution. __
