Saudi Arabia's industrial machineries has total imports valued at around $15 billion annually, organizers of Makinat Saudi Arabia said in a statement. The organizers are holding the “Makinat Saudi Arabia 2011” – The International Trade Exhibition for Industrial Machinery, Machine Tools, Equipment & Technology for Saudi Arabia at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Centre on Nov. 28 to Dec. 1, 2011. It said industrial investments in the country have reached $37.7 billion in 2010, up from $24.57 billion in 2009. Kamil Al-Jawhari, Project Manager of Makinat Saudi Arabia at Riyadh Exhibition Company, said in the statement: "The industrial sector has achieved a remarkable growth pace in recent years, creating an unprecedented surge in demand for a wide array of industrial machineries, tools, spare parts and technologies. We expect Saudi Arabia to continue to move forward with its industrial diversification strategy, which is a key component in the Kingdom's mission to further strengthen the national economy. Makinat Saudi Arabia 2011 will add momentum to the sustained growth of the industrial sector by creating a definitive venue to discuss business opportunities and to showcase the latest technological advances, state-of-the-art machineries and best practices in the industrial sector." The event aims to present the latest developments in machinery, machine tools, equipment, accessories and spare parts from regional and international manufacturers and suppliers and also provide opportunities to network with the leading industrial players and to sign new dealership and business agreements.
