King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has issued a Royal Order appointing Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz as Deputy Foreign Minister with the rank of minister. The appointment has been made on the recommendation of Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Foreign Minister. Prior to this appointment, Prince Abdul Aziz served as Adviser to the King. He was also Adviser to the Crown Prince's Court with the rank of minister, and served for 15 years in the National Guard. Time spent in serving in the National Guard provided a value scope derived through safeguarding national human and physical resources and contributed extensively to his capacity to play a strong supporting role in national affairs. Prince Abdul Aziz first assumed the role of Adviser to the Royal Court in 1989. The two main projects which stand out in the Prince Abdul Aziz's career are the foundation of the Centennial Fund and the formation of the Friends of Saudi Arabia. He is Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Centennial Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship by offering mentoring and financing to young Saudis whose sound business ideas, initiative and enthusiasm earn them a chance to develop their creative skills as entrepreneurs. He is the founder and Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Friends of Saudi Arabia, an organization formed to cultivate a friendly relationship that began 60 years ago with the meeting of King Abdul Aziz Al-Saud and President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. It is an organization devoted to nurturing the exchange of both capital and human resources, including thousands of students, who have since gone on to play leading roles in the Kingdom's government and private sectors. Naif fetes Abdul Aziz Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, congratulated Prince Abdul Aziz on his appointment. In a cable, Prince Naif expressed pleasure on the confidence bestowed by King Abdullah on Prince Abdul Aziz and congratulated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on being lucky to attract the Prince, wishing them every success. In another Royal Order issued Friday, the King extended the service of Prince Abdul Rahman Bin Naser Bin Abdul Aziz, Governor of Al-Kharj, for four years effective Sept. 16 at Excellent Grade. The service of Dr. Abdul Rahman Bin Abdullah Al-Shaqawi, Director of the Public Institute of Administration, was also extended for four years effective Aug. 27, 2011 at Excellent Grade. The service of Dr. Hamad Bin Ali Alsemah, Adviser at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, was also extended for four years effective Aug. 15, 2011, at Excellent Grade. Dr. Mefrj Bin Saad Al-Haqbani was appointed Deputy Minister of Labor after Dr. Abdul Wahid Al-Humayed was relieved from his post at his request. Dr. Khalil Bin Ibrahim Al-Magail Al-Ibrahim was appointed President of Hail University at Excellent Grade.
