Saudi Aramco is organizing a calligraphy expo at the Mall of Arabia to showcase the art of Arabic calligraphy. The show, organized as part of Jeddah summer festival, highlights the skills of Saudi calligraphists, who have reacted enthusiastically to the awareness program. Calligraphists, including the renowned calligraphist Ibrahim Al-Arafi, supervisor general of the Arab Calligraphy Club in the Classic Artists' House and calligraphist of the Holy Haram, are holding small workshops at the venue. In the workshops, calligraphists display their skills and cast light on the principles of Arab calligraphy and its varieties. Saudi female plastic artists are also taking part in this expo, displaying several of their artistic works and paintings. __
