While security authorities pursue the accused in the shocking case of Elham, a 23-year-old Moroccan woman who claimed she was being forced into prostitution, her mother has expressed confidence that her daughter will receive justice and that the criminals will be properly punished. The Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution (BIP) has now transferred her case to the Assault Circuit. According to information obtained by Okaz/Saudi Gazette, the BIP has issued an arrest warrant for her sponsor's representative, who first received her at the airport and handed her over to Umm Hamada, the Egyptian woman accused of running the prostitution ring. Elham's passport is also believed to be with the representative. Elham's mother is confident that justice will be served. “I'm confident that every criminal who tried to lure and harm her will be punished,” she said. Her daughter, she said, lived a difficult life and she chose to travel to the Kingdom in search of a decent earning. “I'm awaiting my daughter's return before Ramadan,” she added. Sources at the BIP have said that Elham is not under custody and that she can leave the country by granting power of attorney to her lawyer. She is currently undergoing treatment at King Fahd General Hospital. Elham was hired to work as a receptionist at a beauty salon in Jeddah but found that after her arrival in the Kingdom in February attempts were being made to force her to work as a prostitute. __
