Philadelphia's Ryan Howard had four hits and four RBIs as the Phillies crushed the Florida Marlins 14-2 in the National League Tuesday. The Marlins opted to walk Howard with a runner on first and the game tied 0-0 in the third inning. The Phillies scored five times in the inning and when the Marlins pitched to Howard an inning later, he hit his 18th homer of the season. Raul Ibanez also homered and drove in four runs for Philadelphia, which achieved season highs in runs and hits (18). Phillies starter Cole Hamels (10-4) allowed two runs in eight innings to join teammate Roy Halladay as a 10-game winner. Philadelphia, which has the best record in the majors, is assured of winning its fifth consecutive series. It has won 21 of its past 25 games in Miami. Florida starter Chris Volstad (4-8) gave up seven runs in four innings. Braves 5, Rockies 3: In Atlanta, Freddie Freeman's third homer in two games gave Atlanta an early lead and the Braves hung on to beat Colorado. Freeman hit his 12th homer off Jhoulys Chacin (8-6) in the second inning. Chacin matched his career worst by issuing six walks – the second time he's done that in his past three starts. He gave up four runs in five innings. Diamondbacks 7, Brewers 3: In Milwaukee, Arizona's Justin Upton and Gerardo Parra homered for Arizona, which built an early six-run lead to set up the win over Milwaukee.
