Civil Defense teams from Makkah, Jeddah and Bahrah were able to douse a large fire Sunday that started at a business shop at the Bahrat Al-Mujahideen Market and had been spreading quickly to other stores. After receiving a call about the fire, Civil Defense teams moved swiftly to contain the blaze. They were led by Colonel Salim Al-Matrafi, Director of the Operations Unit, and Colonel Omar Al-Majnooni, Director of Bahra District Civil Defense. “The cause of fire has not been identified yet. We are still investigating the incident to estimate the losses,” said Al-Majnooni. No one was injured, he added. Red Crescent teams and security patrols disconnected the electricity at the market and closed all the business stores. __
