Adil, Tariq hit tons in Initial Cup

JEDDAH: Adil of ALJ and Tariq of Butt Sports cracked magnificent centuries in the JCA Second Division Championship which is sponsored by the Initial Landscaping Company.
Adil hit 102 to help ALJ beat Deccan Knights by 23 runs, Tariq blasted a match-winning 128 for Butt Sports against Saliheen that gave his team a 113-run victory, Amer Shahzad (71) and Adnan (47 n.o.) helped Jawar Al-Jazira beat Desert Warriors by 6 wickets, Babar (78) and Nawaz (64) handed Ghudaid-XI 57 runs win over ACC and KAIA beat star-studded Kanoo Travel by 22 runs as Yassir Malik scored 52 runs.
ALJ batting first scored 206-5 in 18 overs against Deccan Knights. Adil hit a strokeful 102 off 36 balls, Tanvir and Basheer made 28 each and skipper Naeem Khan scored 18. Hyder and Alam took 2 wickets each while Ajju claimed one. In reply, Deccan Knights were all out for 183. Anwar Malik made 78, Umar Swadi 54, Syed Meer 12 and Jawad 12. Siraj grabbed 3 wickets, Madhav and Basheer got 2 each while Bilal and Adil claimed one each.
Butt Sports, batting first, scored 249-1 in 18 overs against Saliheen as opener Tariq hit 128 in 55 balls. Rehman made 50 n.o. and Junaid Butt scored 35 n.o. Akhlaq took the only wicket to fall. In reply Saliheen was all out for 136 in 16 overs and lost the match by 113 runs as Bakhtiar took 5 wickets, Jawad two and Atif one.
Batting first, Ghudaid-XI scored 175-3 against ACC through Babar 78, Nawaz 64 and Yousuf 12. Zaheer got 2 wickets. ACC was all out for 118 in 15.5 overs. Tarun made 27, Sadath 29 and Zaheer 18. Akmal and Adnan claimed 4 wickets each while Babar got one.
KAIA, batting first, was all out for 182 in 17 overs against Kanoo Travel. Yassir who topscored with 52 was followed by Shoukath 36, Imran 18 and Amer Malik 12. Mazhar claimed 3 wickets, Amir two while Zahid Khan and Azam claimed one each. In reply, Kanoo Travel was restricted to 160-8 in the allotted 18 overs and lost the match by 22 runs. Mazhar and Ibrahim Bin Mehfooz scored 22 each, Shareef made 33, Zahid Khan 26 and Amir 21. Shafeeq grabbed 3 wickets, Amjad Khan and Saber two each and Waheedullah one.
Desert Warriors, batting first, scored 156-6 agaisnt Jawar Al-Jazira through Raziuddin 44, Rehan 24, Jawed 18, Aleemuddin 16 and Quddus 12. Adil and Adnan took two wickets each and Shaan Manzoor and Irfan one each. In reply, Jawar Al-Jazira reached 157-4 in 12.3 overs Amer Shahzad proved his batting abilities by scoring 74 and Adnan made an unbeaten 47 runs. Sajjad contributed 16. Fast bowler Muzammil Riyaz took two important wickets while Rehan had one.

BUPA 148-9 (Ghayas 36, Ashfaq 28, Amir 16, Extras 37, Mohammad Rehan 5-11, 9-year-old Uzair Ahmed Abdul Raheem 3-18, Muzammil Riaz 1-17, Saleem 1-10). Desert Warriors 149-4 in 15.1 overs (Abdul Quddus 60, Razi 26, Rehan 17, Taher 15).
Jawar Al-Jazira 294-5 (Sajid 28, Adil 16, Amer Shahzad 162 in 46 balls, Irfan 33, Shaan Manzoor 15, Rehan 3 wickets, Azmath Ali and Naeem one wicket each). Saliheen 148 (Irfan Sr. 32, Rehan 24, Ikhlaq 23, Qadeer 18, Irfan Jr. 15, Saeed 2-10, Adnan, Tansir, Adil, Zulfiqar, Sajid and Zahid one wicket).
