JEDDAH: Members of the Asir Human Rights Commission (HRC) inspected the prison of the Investigation Bureau, Khamees Mushayt Prison and Abha General Hospital recently and raised a number of concerns about cleanliness and medical care. The HRC delegation Thursday listened to prisoners at the Investigation Bureau prison and informed them that their grievances are being followed up with the Asir Emir's Office. The delegation Wednesday demanded that Khamees Mushayt prison administration provide the clinic with equipment and specialized medical staff. The members also called for the clinic to be cleaned properly. The delegation also inspected the general hospital's emergency rooms, intensive care units, newborn babies' section and other divisions. They met a number of patients and discussed their observations with the hospital's management.
