Hilal defeated Al-Wehdah 6-3 to clinch the third spot in the King's Cup of Champions at the Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Stadium in Riyadh Thursday. Hilal, winner of the Premier League Trophy and the Crown Prince Cup, will pocket a cash prize of SR1.5 million. Wehdah, on the other hand, will be demoted from the Zain Premier League to the First Division for allegedly delaying a match in the last round of the league. Unmarked striker Eisa Al-Mohayani scored the second for Hilal on a pass from Swedish Christian Wilhelmsson in the 30th minute. Romanian midfielder Meriel Radoi made no mistake from the spot to make it 3-1 after his teammate Mohammed Nami was brought down in the area. Hilal came back after the break all guns blazing and Radoi made it 4-1 when he took a pass from Mohammed Al-Jaizani to shoot straight into the Wehdah goal six minutes into the second half. Abdurrahman Bukhari was quick to pull another back for Wehdah five minutes later, but Hilal midfielder Abdul Aziz Al-Dousari added a fifth goal in the 71st minute. Salman Al-Subiyani made it 5-3 from the spot after Hilal defender Bandar Majrashi brought down a Wehdah striker in the area a minute later.
