half goals earned Al-Hilal a 2-0 victory over Al-Nasr in the Saudi Primer League at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh on Friday. International striker Yasser Al-Qahtani put Al-Hilal ahead before the new-signing Romanian Mirel Radoi sealed the win few minutes later. Al-Hilal sits on top of the standings on 40 points as Al-Ittihad fell short on goal difference despite having the same number of points. Al-Ittihad plays a crucial match against city rival Al-Ahli on Saturday. Riyadh derby witnessed the participation of the new signing players for the two clubs. Al-Hilal put on display both its recent signings Steaua Bucuresti midfielder Mirel Radoi, who joined the club only a few days before the game, and Korean Seol Ki-hyeon, on loan from Fulham, who was playing his second match with the team. Al-Nasr, meanwhile, built its squad by signing Alaa Al-Kuwikibi from Al-Wehdah hours before announcing a deal with the star of the last Gulf Cup Omani Hassan Rabia. The first half saw Al-Nasr keep the possession of the ball but without creating any serious threats for Al-Hilal goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Daeyea. The only real attempt Al-Nasr made was in the 35th minute when Rayan Bilal headed a close range ball into the hands of Daeyea. Al-Hilal came back after the break pumped up and pressed forward thanks to moves from Ahmed Al-Faraidi and Swedish player Christian Wilhelmsson. Al-Hilal was looking for a win especially after losing two points against Al-Watani following their goalless draw last week. Al-Nasr also needed the win to overcome its 2-0 defeat at the hands of Al-Ittihad. In the 47th minute, Radoi blasted a long range shot that went over the bar of Al-Nasr goalkeeper Khaled Radhi. Al-Hilal kept up the pressure restricting Al-Nasr only to counter-attacks. In the 71st minute, Wilhelmsson hit a long cross toward Yasser Al-Qahtani, who made no mistake and put Al-Hilal in front hitting the ball into the far side of Radhi. Eight minutes later, Romanian Radoi doubled Hilal's lead after he fired the ball from the narrow right edge into the goal of Al-Nasr. In another match in the league, Al-Hazm drew 1-1 with the third place Al-Shabab in Qassim. The home team scored first through Safwan Al-Moualad on 40 minutes from the spot while Naji Majrashi equalized for Al-Shabab two minutes from time. In Najran, Fahd Adawi helped the home side Najran to record a 1-0 win over Al-Raed.
