JUBAIL: The International Indian School of Jeddah (IISJ) clinched the football and volleyball titles at the recently-concluded annual sports meet of the International Indian Schools in Jubail. The XXI Cluster Meet 2011 — was organized in the first week of June amidst thrill, glamor and excitement. Football and volleyball along with badminton were the most anticipated and vibrant of events at the meet. Sports is the ultimate expression of anyone's drive to succeed and the IISJ football team symbolized that spirit in its 3-1 thrashing of the Riyadh school, 9-0 routing of the Jubail school and 3-1 win over the Dammam school. The under-19 IISJ volleyball team emerged as the champion defeating IIS Riyadh 2-0, IIS Jubail 2-0 and IIS Dammam 3-0. In badminton the under-14 IISJ boys clinched the runner-up spot. The winning teams are now eligible to take part in the All India CBSE National Championship in October–November 2011 in India.
