DHAHRAN: The second Noble Mega Doubles Badminton Tournament will take place on June 16 and 17 at the Aramco Dhahran Indoor Courts. The tournament is being organized by Noble Badminton Club, Dammam. Khalid Saleh, president of Noble Club, told the Saudi Gazette that the Noble Club has been functioning for more than a decade with an objective to promote and improve the standard of badminton in the Kingdom. “More than 500 players are expected to participate in eight levels of the game from Novice to Premier flight in men's doubles, ladies doubles and mixed doubles events,” he said. Badminton clubs from Jubail, Riyadh, Jeddah and Bahrain are also participating in this two-day tournament. Khalid said apart from the players, hundreds of spectators from various parts of the Kingdom are also expected to attend the event. A top level professional group comprising former international stars will supervise the administrative and technical operation of the event.
