RIYADH: The Minister of Water and Electricity has signed a number of contracts for water and sewer works across the country at a cost of SR112 million. The contracts, signed by Minister Abdul Rahman Al-Hussayen with Saudi firms, entail sewage plants and water networks in Qatif, water networks and operations and maintenance works for plants in Al-Quriyat, a dam construction in Dhibaa', and manual and pipe wells in towns and villages in the north of Makkah. Other contracts were signed for water facilities in Najran, irrigation projects in the town of Al-Ramaliya and the village of Al-Mutairifi, dam works in Riyadh, and drinking water supplies in various regions of Najran.
