year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were shot dead near a building in Al-Khurma belonging to the University of Taif Monday. Both the dead were students of the university, and the female victim was reportedly a sister of the 28-year-old gunman's former wife. She was also a relative of the other victim. The murder suspect reportedly followed the two in his car as they made their way to the women's faculty and opened fire multiple times with a machine gun before fleeing the scene. He was soon tracked down and apprehended by police, however. Reports stated that the female victim was hit by four bullets and her relative by two. A police official said that investigators were probing the suspect's motives for the killing, but that initial indications pointed towards a “family dispute”.
