MUMBAI: Indian Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu was detained at Mumabi International Airport Thursday upon her arrival from London for failing to declare taxable items according to reports from The Press Trust of India. Sources at the customs department say that the actor immediately cooperated when she was asked to empty her shopping bags. “The bag was filled with cream, shoes, sunglasses and jewellery. She protested at first but we reasoned that there might be goods that were undeclared and we needed to check her bags. Bipasha waited patiently as we started to empty her shopping bags,” says a source from the customs department. The actress was let off after she paid a fine of Rs12,000 for not declaring the goods. The actress denied that she was detained at the airport by the customs department but admitted that she had to pay a fine as she was caught in the green channel of the airport with undeclared goods.
