JEDDAH: The College of Business Administration (CBA) women's section, under the patronage of Princess Seta Bint Abdullah, gave out masters and bachelors degrees to 150 women students at a graduation ceremony here at the weekend. Dr. Nadia Bashan, Dean of the Business College, welcomed Princess Seta and other dignitaries and thanked the princess for her continued support and efforts to encourage Saudi women to make a humanitarian contribution to the development of the country. She also thanked King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, for his continued support for the role of Saudi women in the Kingdom's development. “Today we are proud of the quality of education that our students have received and the hard work of our faculty in fulfilling our mission. More than 75 percent of our graduates find jobs before they finish their studies,” said Dr. Bashan. Princess Seta stressed the importance of education and educated youth in the service of the country. She exhorted students to take their education seriously, so they can take part in the development of the nation. She also expressed her appreciation for the efforts of the Board of Trustees, council members and staff of the College of Business Administration. Appreciation awards were given to Olfat Kabbani, member of the Board of Directors of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI); Nashwa Taher, JCCI board member and Modawi Al- Hassoun, businesswomen and JCCI board member, for their services and contribution to the economy and for supporting social responsibility. “I am proud that today we are celebrating the graduation of Saudi women. It is a dream come true. Saudi women have proved their ability. I advise the students who graduated today not to be afraid to face the market in the real world,.” he said. The fresh graduates, he said, must believe in themselves and enter the world of business with confidence in their own abilities.
