JEDDAH: Abdullah Zainal, Minister of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the Industrial Cities Authority, signed contracts with local and international companies Saturday in Riyadh to carry out designs for four industrial cities. This includes Al-Kharj Industrial City, a third Industrial City in Dammam, a third Industrial City in Jeddah and the second stage of the third Sudair City for Industry and Businesses, at a total cost of SR61 million. Dr. Tawfeek Bin Fawzan Al-Rabea, Director General of the Industrial Cities Authority, said the authority has started planning for the largest expansion of the industrial cities in the Kingdom. This will increase their areas from 74 million square meters to 150 million square meters in the next five years.
