The State of Qatar welcomed the initiative by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, inviting GCC leaders for an extraordinary meeting in Riyadh last night which has resulted in moves to enhance the GCC cooperation and integration march and a decision to return ambassadors to Doha. In a statement here today, the Qatari foreign ministry lauded the keenness of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to reach the required success that meets the aspirations and hopes of the peoples of the GCC member states. The statement also expressed thanks of the State of Qatar to and appreciation of the great role played by Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, to bridge the gap between view points of differing sides and to enhance the GCC integration march, adding that the State of Qatar also praises the kind initiatives which received great appreciation and respect. The statement also confirmed the keenness of the State of Qatar on the joint Arab Gulf states' solidarity and the progress that has been achieved for the interest of all the peoples of the GCC countries.
