Acting Minister of Health Adel bin Mohammed Faqih declared the safety of this year's Hajj, saying that it has been free from epidemic and quarantine diseases and that all pilgrims are healthy and well. This came in a statement by the minister at the press conference he held this morning at Mina emergency hospital. All health sectors have increased efforts to provide preventative and other medical care for all pilgrims in Mecca, Medina and Jeddah, which are the three main cities involved in the Hajj season. At the press conference, Acting Minister of Health Adel bin Mohammed Faqih highlighted Saudi efforts to serve pilgrims World Health Organization's representative in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr Hassan al-Bushra extended congratulations to the kingdom, represented by the Ministry of Health, on the achievements accomplished in dealing with crowds' health management. WHO's representative for rapid intervention Dr. Amnah Yahya Alshayeb also commended the services, capabilities and human resources provided by the kingdom in the Holy Places and achievements in the Hajj season of this year.
