The Kingdom and Egypt represent the cornerstones in the Arab World. This is a fact that can neither be denied nor ignored under the facts, chronicles and history as the Kingdom is enjoying the regional and international political, economical and religious position while Egypt is the genius of time and place which enjoys its human resources and strategic location in the regional and international map which leads it towards occupying a privileged position among the international community. Throughout the modern history, the Kingdom and Egypt have been witnessing relationships different than any other relationships between any two Arab states. We do not say that such relationships have always been good but we can say that they were, in general, distinguished in regard to dealing with the events that our Arab world has been witnessing. Such relationships represented major turning points that had led to results of positive output in regard to the relationships between the two states and their influence on the Arab world as a whole. Egypt of today is marching its first steps towards stability and restoration of prestige and role after the election of President Abdul Fattah Alsisi. However, Egypt needs an honest stand from the side of the Arab countries at first and from the side of the international community after that to be able to precede its march in regard to completing its political road map of which the majority of parts have been fulfilled and the only one left is holding the legislative elections. When the Kingdom stands by Egypt during this critical and highly sensitive stage; it is actually standing with the nation's stability and security. It is standing with Egypt and the Egyptian nation which represent a factor which is an indispensable one about which there is no choice other than standing with it and supporting it during the transformational conditions it is living. It cannot ever, under any condition, be left for disorder, fragmentation and loss of identity. When Prince Salman has said: "The brother Egyptian people have written their future by their own hands today for facing the challenge and building a future which befits their ability and great civilization. The loyal and kind Egyptian people are capable of enduring the difficulties for restoring Egypt's responsible role in the Arab World and international community." Furthermore, he has confirmed that the Kingdom, government and nation, shall keep being, under the directions of Custodian of the two Holy Mosques, a loyal brother for sister Egypt who stand by its side in weal and woe. These words express actions that have occurred earlier as the Kingdom has always been with Arab security, stability and prosperity that it has always been calling for and has always been working for achieving it. The Kingdom's stand with Egypt is actually derived out of such perspective which confirms the Kingdom's leadership in regard to establishing the bases of joint Arab action and standing with its Arab brothers in weal and woe. The Kingdom remarkable cases of support to Egypt are not recent as it has been standing by its side and supporting it during all wars of 1956, 1967 & 1973. Such stances had never been seeking any reward other than standing by brother side and supporting them. Such relationships, in fact, are much older than this if we consider the Founder King's historical visit to Egypt during the era of King Farouk. Thus, the Saudi-Egyptian relationships are not only important but even necessary for the stability, security and prosperity of our Arab World.
