Oman and Kuwait today signed an agreement for the management and implementation of a grant of $2.5 billion that is provided by the Government of Kuwait to the Government of the Sultanate of Oman. The agreement was signed by Omani Minister Responsible for Financial Affairs Darwesh bin Ismail bin Ali Al-Balushi and Kuwaiti Director General of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development Abdul-Wahab Al-Badr. The agreement aims to finance joint projects at the bilateral level in the Sultanate of Oman, or at the level of the GCC countries such as electrical inter-connection projects, water and Gulf railway project and infrastructure projects for industrial zones.
