The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has confirmed that despite the issuance of a number of resolutions by the United Nations General Assembly in the past two years, most recently resolution No. 76/183 dated in 20/12/2012 A.D on situation in the Syrian Arab Republic, however, and since that time until today the number of victims increased to more than 80,000 dead. It also said that the Syrian government forces became more ferocity against the Syrian people and are using varied means of repression and murder included, besides heavy tanks and artillery, the rockets, aviation and the use of chemical weapons against civilians, in addition to the comprehensive war and destruction policy dealt by the Syrian regime with a number of Syrian cities and villages. This came in a speech delivered, late yesterday night, in the name of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by Ambassador Yahya bin Abdullah Al-Mualimi, the Kingdom's permanent representative to the United Nations, before the UN General Assembly meeting in New York on the armed conflict and situation in Syria.
