Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, welcomed the United Nation General Assembly's resolution on granting Palestine the status of an observer state at the United Nations, stressing that the resolution should be a catalyst for a solution not a hindrance to it, and the real disruption is represented by the lack of the horizon of a political solution and Israel's refusal to all peaceful solutions, its continual building of more settlements, and swallowing the occupied Palestinian territories in a policy leading to pre-empt a just, comprehensive and lasting solution for this long-standing dispute. In a periodic press briefing here today, he expressed his deep regret over the situation in Syria which is worsening in terms of the increasing numbers of victims and the displaced people or the severe destruction witnessed by Syrian cities under the bombardment of the blind devastating military machine of the regime.
