The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is set to launch a new Earth-observing satellite designed to continue missions documenting changes to the planetâ€TMs glaciers, forests, and coastlines. Earlier this week, mission managers approved the Monday launch of the Landsat satellite from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California aboard an Atlas 5 rocket. The $855 million project is managed by the U.S. space agency and the U.S. Geological Survey.
