Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, welcomed the United Nation General Assembly's resolution on granting Palestine the status of an observer state at the United Nations, stressing that the resolution should be a catalyst for a solution not a hindrance to it, and the real disruption is represented by the lack of the horizon of a political solution and Israel's refusal to all peaceful solutions, its continual building of more settlements, and swallowing the occupied Palestinian territories in a policy leading to pre-empt a just, comprehensive and lasting solution for this long-standing dispute. In a periodic press briefing here today, he expressed his deep regret over the situation in Syria which is worsening in terms of the increasing numbers of victims and the displaced people or the severe destruction witnessed by Syrian cities under the bombardment of the blind devastating military machine of the regime. The Prince called on the brothers in Yemen in all their classes and strata to respond to the efforts of the Yemeni government and engage in national congress for comprehensive dialogue that is needed by Yemen today more than ever to complement the implementation of the provisions of the Gulf Initiative Agreement, to maintain its national and regional unity, and to achieve its security, stability and prosperity. Prince Saud Al-Faisal said, "I praise Allah Almighty for bestowing recovery upon the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and pray for his constant good health to complete the march which he started in the development of the nation and the support of the legitimate rights of Arab and Islamic peoples. I thank you very much for your constant inquiry about me during the health indisposition which I have suffered recently, and your noble feelings that have been conveyed to me by the Head of Information Department". --More
