Published in Alriyadh on 22 - 10 - 2012

Participants in Makkah 13th Conference, organized by the Makkah-based Muslim World League (MWL), lauded the speech of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at the conference, keeping it as an official document of the conference, citing his call on MWL to prepare a practical program to disseminate the culture of Islamic solidarity among Muslim peoples.
In a final communique, they praised Saudi Arabia's continuous support for MWL and appreciated the King's interest in the organization and its programs.
They also thanked him for patronizing the conference and the Kingdom for warm welcome and generous hospitality.
The statement urged Muslims to stick to enforcing Sharia law, focusing on the issue of Islamic pillars and change of laws and rules governing Islamic people at all times and everywhere.
They urged Ulema everywhere to opt for group Fatwa and evade individual Fatwa as much as possible.
Participants in the conference also underscored the importance of tolerance and rejection of racism, the right of non-Muslims in the Muslim society according to Sharia law, the respect of national characteristics, co-existence and national dialogue and unity of each single society.
The conference called on MWL to continue preparations to hold the 2nd conference on Islamic World: Problems and Solutions, and set up a Elders Panel to show the nation how to deal with changes.
The conference lauded MWL's efforts to implement the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for civilizational dialogue and called for holding more conferences, symposia and seminars.
It called on spreading the culture of solidarity and unity among Islamic people.
The MWL denounced the Israeli practices aiming at distorting the Arab Islamic identity of the holy Al-Quds, defaming the sanctity of Al-Aqsa mosque. The statement called for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital.
The statement warned from sectarianism calls which work to divide Muslims and open the door wide for interference in internal affairs.
The participants also denounced the bloody massacre of the Syrian people by its ruling regime, calling on it to come to the word of the Islamic nation, take responsibility to end this catastrophe, bring the responsible to justice, compensate the harmed and provide relief to refugees inside and outside Syria.
They also condemned in the strongest words the blaspheming campaign against our Prophet Mohammed in the western media, calling on the Islamic media and legal institutions to work with MWL to defend the prophet.
The statement denounced terrorism, extremism and called for spreading the culture of moderation, dialogue and following of the holy Quran and Sunna.
The conference called on jurisprudence complexes to state the Islamic legal position on any philosophical problem that emerges before the nation.
It denounced the religions suppression facing Muslims in Myanmar, calling on its government to observe the rights of Muslim minority there.
It welcomed peace accord signed between the government of The Philippines and Islamic MORO liberation Force.
The conference called on MWL to set up an international Islamic Commission to take care of Islamic minorities outside the Islamic boundaries.
